Zotero for Mac users

"Zotero is free and open-source reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials (such as PDF files). Notable features include web browser integration, online syncing, generation of in-text citations, footnotes and bibliographies, as well as integration with the word processors Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, OpenOffice.org Writer and NeoOffice. It is produced by the Center for History and New Media of George Mason University (GMU)." Wikipedia

There is a growing number of Mac users on the UCT campus, with many foreign students prefering Mac over PC/Microsoft, the UCT standard.  Mac is the standard for Fine Art students on the UCT campus.

Zotero has been around since 2006, and has the distinction of having a wide range of citation styles - Mendeley, developed in 2007, uses Zotero to enhance their range of citation styles.  This guide was developed with the Mac community in mind and I hope that it will be a useful introduction to Zotero bibliographic software.
