What to Do if a Book or Resource Is Not Available in Our Collection

If the book or resource you need is not available at UCT Libraries, you have a couple of options:

  1. Request via Interlibrary Loan (ILL): We can source a copy from another library on your behalf.

  2. Email your request: You can also email me directly, and I can arrange to order the item for the library.

We’ll do our best to get the resource to you as quickly as possible!

Loan Limits and Borrowing Periods

  • Undergraduate students: Borrow up to 6 books for 7 days

  • Postgraduate students: Borrow up to 12 books for 30 days

  • UCT Staff: Borrow up to 30 books for 90 days
