Foreign and International Law Library Guide: Africa

This guide will enable you to research foreign law using specialised databases such as Westlaw and Heinonline

Sources of African Law

The GlobaLex Guide to African Law has some great introductory online sources for finding African law.

African countries usually make their legislation available on government websites. The African Legal Information Institute (africanlii) contains links to these websites, as well as links to other legal information institutes from specific African countries (such as the Southern African Legal Information Institute).

All the legal information institutes use a similar website and database layout, so you can apply the same search principles.
