APA referencing style is an author-date referencing system published by the American Psychological Association.
There are two components in the APA referencing style: you must acknowledge your sources by citing them in the text of your assignment (called in-text citations) and referencing them at the end of your assignment (called a reference list).
You must provide references whenever you quote (use the exact words), paraphrase (use the ideas of another person, in your own words) or summarize (use the main points of) another’s opinions, theories or data.
