It is advisable to connect your ORCID record to publisher platform as you submit your manuscript for publications. Doing so help you maintaining your ORCID record with accurate representation of your publications across several researcher profiling platforms and systems.
Check for 'Connect to ORCID' prompt link as you submit. Some publisher platforms could have such prompt on their author profile settings. Others would even allow you to login with your ORCID login credentials.
