  • Find Journal Resources here
    • Search for a journal,
    • Identify predatory Journals/publishers,
    • DHET Accredited Journal's List, and
    • 2025 Read & Publish Agreement for UCT.

A good place to begin

To thoroughly understand your topic, you may start with: 

  • encyclopedias 
  • subject dictionaries
  • general science dictionaries
  • Run topic search in Primo and find relevant review article

 

Encyclopedias give explanations and succinct overviews of topics

 

Dictionaries provide definitions of unfamiliar terms

 

Review articles provide comprehensive updates on a topic while providing critical contents for the advancement of current understanding.
